  8. We arrived back in Phoenix late Tuesday night and I had an appointment with the dentist yesterday at noon.
    I thought it was just for a consultation, but he took x-rays
    and said I needed a root canal because the nerve had
    died and he could see the infection. He said he could fit me in yesterday, because I was in a good deal of pain,
    I said okay. So 3 hours later I headed home with my root canal
    complete. The dentist told me I would still have considerable pain for at least 72 hours after the novocaine wore off,
    and he was right.
